WHAT, WHY, WHEN?

Eclipse MUN is a privately hosted Model United Nations conference committed to reviving the old competitive and intellectually intense spirit of the Hyderabad MUN circuit. Our vision is to go beyond just another debating platform and instead craft an unforgettable experience that challenges delegates to think, argue, and collaborate like true diplomats. To achieve this, we have handpicked some of the best and most experienced Executive Board members from across India, ensuring that every committee is guided by individuals who know how to bring out the very best in every participant.

Over the course of October 10, 11, and 12, delegates will engage in rigorous debate, negotiation, and resolution drafting, pushing themselves to develop critical skills such as public speaking, research, crisis management, and coalition-building. More than just a simulation, Eclipse MUN is designed as a transformative journey—where delegates not only learn the art of diplomacy but also the importance of leadership, teamwork, and strategic thinking. Our goal is to make sure that every participant leaves not just with memories of an exciting event, but also with a deeper understanding of global affairs, sharper interpersonal skills, and a network of peers equally passionate about change and impact.

VENUE

Delhi Public School, Aerocity (Shamshabad), is a premier institution under the DPS and Pallavi Group, located in the fast-growing GMR Aerocity near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. Spread across 5 acres with a modern 2,50,000 sq. ft. campus, the school follows the CBSE curriculum and is known for its blend of academic excellence and holistic development.

Equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, sports arenas, and dedicated activity zones, DPS Aerocity provides an inspiring environment for intellectual discourse and cultural exchange. Its emphasis on leadership, discipline, and global outlook makes it an ideal venue to host a Model United Nations conference.

India’s parliamentary committee debating critical domestic and international issues.

The Disarmament and International Security Committee focuses on peace and global security.

UNODC

The Office on Drugs and Crime tackles organized crime, terrorism, and international law enforcement.

FIFA

A unique committee simulating football diplomacy, governance, and ethics in sports.

TFI

The futuristic intelligence committee designed to push delegates into strategic crisis management.

FIA

The Federation of International Automobiles debates regulations, technology, and global motorsport ethics.

DELEGATIONS

At Eclipse MUN, we place a strong emphasis on school delegations, as they allow us to extend the MUN experience to a wider audience and foster collective participation. We believe delegations bring an added dimension of teamwork and camaraderie to the conference, enriching the overall environment.

However, due to delegate limits per committee, we must regulate the size of delegations to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all participants. Accordingly, each of the six smaller committees will be capped at 40 delegates, while the two larger committees will allow up to 10 delegates per school delegation.

SAFETY OF STUDENTS

The safety of every student is our top priority. All Executive Board and Organizing Committee members undergo thorough background checks to ensure a secure environment focused solely on debate. Campus surveillance and strict entry checks safeguard personal belongings while preventing prohibited items. With a professional Secretariat and a zero-tolerance policy for outsiders, delegates can participate confidently without concerns about unnecessary disruptions.

Eclipse MUN is founded on the principles of academic rigour, structured debate training, and professional conduct. We go beyond the surface of Model UN by cultivating critical thinking, disciplined research, and clear articulation. Every session is designed to sharpen analytical abilities while encouraging delegates to engage with global issues in a meaningful and solution-oriented way.

Our Executive Board brings extensive experience and mentorship, ensuring that each delegate is guided through the art of diplomacy, lobbying, and resolution drafting. Agendas are carefully selected to challenge participants intellectually, pushing them to explore complex international, social, and economic questions. With professionalism at its core, Eclipse MUN offers an environment where delegates can grow as debaters, leaders, and individuals ready to take on real-world challenges.
